We have consulted with villagers about their preferences for their location and the Parish Council has approved the installation in those locations.

Proposed plan: Demolition of existing building and construction of a new 3 storey residential building comprising 10 units (net increase of nine) along with access, cycle parking and associated infrastructure.
Bike store for 14 cycles, unclear what kind of fastenings (Sheffield stands/other). Is it big enough to enable cycles in the furthest cycle spaces to manoeuvre in/out? Is the entrance wide enough to accommodate movement of adapted bikes?

Like many areas of Petersfield, Ainsworth Street has no cycle parking but there are bikes left along the pavements.
Cycle parking should be provided.
Every night, and during the day, there are always at least some spots of car parking unused. Therefore there is scope to remove a few spaces and install residential cycle parking, as per Thoday Street.

Cambridge University is planning to refurbish 1 Regent Street for its Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
Currently there are very anti-cycling 'No cycle parking' notices along the railings, which is hardly an example of sustainability leadership.
We should use this as an opportunity to get cycle parking along here.

Many issues here about cycle parking - not only the station itself but the CB1 area
Created by Rose Eichenberger // 2 threads
There is an ongoing shortage of cycle parking spaces. As a result, people park their bikes against lamp post, railings and trees. This is not a sustainable situation and additional secure cycle parking spaces are desperately needed.
The campus is known to be a target of cycle thieves, hence this issue needs to be resolved as a matter of urgency.

"Since March 2014, there has been an on going community consultation process to look at the future of the Canada Water Masterplan area. This includes redevelopment of the SE16 Printworks Site (formerly known as Harmsworth Quays), the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre Site and most recently the Surrey Quays Leisure Park Site. British Land is working with Southwark Council to bring forward a mixed use development for the Canada Water Masterplan, as part of a new town centre for the area."
It will be important to ensure that:
1) The main street through the site is constructed according to Making Space for Cycling principles (http://www.makingspaceforcycling.org/) - currently the proposed road will have cyclists in the main carriageway, and the route is a through-route for cars rather than access-only.
2) There is accessible cycle parking for all the new buildings
3) The greenway through the site is direct and avoids conflict with pedestrians
4) Any existing cycle routes are enhanced where possible

15/1227/FUL | Erection of a new 18,000sqm research laboratory building (Use Class B1 (b)) and associated works. | Puddicombe Way Cambridge
Site Plan shows "Cycle Storage" adjacent to the hotel? site to the east.
Red line extending to Robinson Way (north of Francis Crick roundabout), Puddicombe Way and including half the Forum area suggests intention to secure good transport links.
Essential to remedy poor walking/cycling layout at foot of busway/cycleway bridge, and secure easy access to (across?) the bus/cycleway's extension to The Forum, where the intention may be to continue cycleway on southern side only of busway.
