  • Toucan crossing at Brooms Rd/Barrie Ave

Created by Rhian // 1 thread

Make the crossing from the Brooms Road path onto the signed cycle route up Barrie Avenue a toucan crossing, and remove the guard rails so that bikes can use that short stretch of pavement to reach Barrie Avenue

  • Northfield Avenue Crossing

Created by Martin Gorst // 1 thread

A new Toucan crossing to link Dean Gardens with Mattock Lane. This will replace the present Toucan crossing. This route is part of the London Cycle Network Route 41. The plan was included in the West Ealing Liveable Neighbourhood Bid, but the council intends to install this as a separate project - probably in the financial year ending March 2019.

  • Toucan By University Arms Sequencing

Created by Chris Howell // 1 thread

The intended operation of the toucan crossing by the University Arms is fundamentally broken. The crossing sequence starts with cyclists from Parkers Piece being given a green filter to go both left and right onto Regent Street, followed by the left filter going red and pedestrians being given the green light to cross. Except of course literally 100% of pedestrians see the high level green filters, ignore their street level red and start crossing just as bikes turn left into them. How did anyone ever think this would work?

  • Chicane, dropped kerbs and toucan crossing

Created by FrenchyF // 0 threads

There is a really nasty chicane in the middle of this path; it should be removed.

Dropped kerbs should also be added at the ends of the path, where it meets Lasswade Road (east) and the Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park path network (west).

The pedestrian crossing at Lasswade Road should be made into a toucan crossing.
