  The planning application for Winnersh Relief Road phase 2 is out for consultation. It includes a 3m wide shared use path on the north side of the road. As there is plenty of room to the north side of the existing road, and the new section through the woods near where it joins the NCN422/A329 has plenty of room on both sides, there is ample scope for a segregated cycle track/cycle superhighway.
  The shared use path will be popular with dog walkers and joggers. Drivers will expect that cyclists should get out of their way if a shared use path is provided. There are two uncontrolled crossings of side roads where cyclists will lose priority.
